Edward Parker, DDS, PA 843-669-1836 Dr. Parker is a Florence native and has been in practice limited to Periodontics, with emphasis on prevention since 1970. He is a graduate of Clemson University and Emory University School of Dentistry. His residency in Periodontics was completed at Emory and Atlanta VA hospital. Education is ongoing , especially in the causes and treatment of gum diseases. Dr. Parker completes 50+ hours of continued education yearly with emphasis on non-surgical procedures and regenerative techniques. This enables him to continue to meet the high standards set by the leaders in the field of periodontics. “My philosophy of treatment is to use a conservative non-surgical approach wherever possible. My desire is for treatment not only to be effective, but comfortable and affordable for you, the patient." Dr. Parker has also been active in organized dentistry as past president of the Pee Dee District Dental Society, the South Carolina Licensure Board, and the South Carolina Dental Association. He is a member of the South Carolina Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology and Southern Academy of Periodontology. In 2006 he received the prestigious George Hoffmann Award from the South Carolina Dental Association. His “soul mate†for 47 years is Dianne Prosser Parker. They are the proud parents of three children and are blessed with 10 grands.
